History: Patriotic
Dates
It's easy to learn about our
nation's special patriotic holidays. Let's visit these websites and take notes
on the most interesting things about each holiday. Try to list five things
about each holiday - names, dates, places, the "why's" and "wherefores." Then
choose your favorite holiday and write a two-page report about it. You can go
back to the websites for that holiday and obtain more information if you wish.
Be sure not to plagiarize - copy the wording! And you can turn to other
sources, including the encyclopedia and library books, to complete your report.
When you're finished writing, draw a picture to go with it, using colored
pencils, markers or paint.
